Sri Lanka barely broke a sweat while easing past Zimbabwe in the Tri-Series opener, but West Indies pace and bounce proved a rather more testing assignment in their second match, with Sri Lanka bowled out for 165 in pursuit of West Indies 227. Nuwan Kulasekara said that the Sri Lankans will have to adjust as quickly as possible to the varying attacks if they are to bounce back when the series moves to Bulawayo.Zimbabwe, they have talent, but they tend to bowl 120 to 130 kph, Kulasekara said. West Indies bowlers have height that gives them bounce, and [Shannon] Gabriel always bowls 140 plus. [Jason] Holder bowled really nicely today too, getting that outswing. You just have to adjust as soon as possible. Thats the main thing. We have to improve for the next few matches in the batting department, because they have height and get bounce on these wickets.Kulasekara is returning to international duty with Sri Lanka after 10 months on the sidelines, and his own returns from his first two matches have been decent. Displaying good control with the new ball, he picked up two wickets against West Indies to go with his two in the first match against Zimbabwe, and also removed Kraigg Brathwaite and Holder with direct hits in the field.Ive been doing even more fielding practices with my fielding coach, and I always try my best, Kulasekara said. My last game was against New Zealand in January. Its nice to come back to the side. Ive been very happy with my performances in the last two games. With the experience of 175 ODIs to draw from, Kulasekara has slotted back into this Sri Lankan touring squad as a senior. This is also his fourth tour of Zimbabwe, and he has been very willing to share his knowledge of conditions in the country with the less experienced members of his team.As seniors, we always discuss [game plans] with the younger players. I played two matches in Bulawayo in 2010, the wickets there are much flatter than Harare. Slow and low bounce. You have to adjust as a batsman, and well have to bowl different lengths in Bulawayo. Well make our plans in the next few days for that.At 34, Kulasekara is also philosophical about his own place in the side. Yeah, theres always pressure that comes with playing for the national team. So youngsters come in, and they put pressure on the senior players. Senior players go into retirement, and youngsters come and grab their places. Thats the way it goes. Pittsburgh Penguins Store . DETROIT -- Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck would love to be able to go toe to toe with Jim Harbaugh, bouncing around to all sorts of satellite camps in the offseason. If we had the budget, I would have been right next to him. We would have been competing, how many numbers we could get, Fleck said.Fleck and other coaches in the Mid-American Conference can certainly benefit from satellite camps, but the issue remains a complicated one. On Thursday, MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher called for some limits on when and where the camps can be held.We are in favor of retaining satellite camps, but there need to be some walls built around it in terms of length of days you can have it, number of times youre out, things like that, Steinbrecher said at the MACs annual media day at Detroits Ford Field.Steinbrecher suggested a 15-day window to hold the camps -- and that only coaches with recruiting responsibility and graduate assistants work at them. He also said hed advocate restricting the sites of the camps to four-year colleges. You should not be permitted to go to a high school, academy or some other third party as a location to hold such camps, he said.Steinbrecher said participation by coaches at satellite camps should count as evaluation days under the recruiting calendar.Satellite camps have become a big issue over the past year. Harbaugh has been at the center of that debate, with the Michigan coach defending the camps. The Southeastern Conference wanted them banned -- some coaches have argued that theyre just a way for programs to recruit. The Division I Council approved a proposal requiring Football Bowl Subdivision schools to hold camps at or near home, but the Division I Board of Directors rescinded that ban in early May. The MAC had voted against the ban.I think that you want to go ahead and keep satellite camps in some form, but you need to limit it, and Im not talking about limiting student-athlete opportunity, Northern Illinois coach Rod Carey said.dddddddddddd You have to limit that time, because you know whats not going on? Assistant coaches arent on our campuses dealing with our players.Fleck, whose team is picked to win the MAC this year in the preseason media poll, said WMU does find satellite camps useful, but he agrees with the commissioner that they need to be limited somehow. He did express admiration for the way Harbaugh approaches them. One thing Harbaugh does that I respect is that hes constantly finding ways to get the brand out there, but hes so genuine of why hes doing it. You watch him, hes coaching every camp, Fleck said. Hes not standing there ... like a CEO and just saying, `Im here.Satellite camps arent the only prospect-related issue facing college football. Steinbrecher said the leagues coaches favor the addition of an early signing period for football, and hed like football prospects to be able to make official visits after their junior year of high school, instead of having to wait until the fall of senior year. This is much more in line with the typical high school student, who will make campus visits the summer before their senior year, Steinbrecher said. Lets provide our prospects with the opportunity to visit where they want during the summer.Steinbrecher also said the MACs council of athletic directors is considering proposals from the student-athlete advisory committee aimed at managing time demands on athletes.---Follow Noah Trister at www.Twitter.com/noahtrister ' ' '
